Lake Bluff Open Lands is dedicated to educating communities in restoration, sustainability, and the importance of volunteering and getting involved to make the earth a greener place.  LBOLA works with many schools across all grades , these volunteering students are the contributing force for LBOLA's success. In exchange, LBOLA tries to leave the next generation with a deep understanding of caring for conservation and each other.

Our Internship Program

LBOLA's internship program is dedicated to teach a handful of young individuals what it takes to be restoration ecologists. Our interns leave the program with the knowledge of species identification, ability to use relevant tools , a work ethic, and general knowledge of ecology and conservation!

Our Flora & Fauna

Lake Bluff Open Lands Association is a non-profit organization working to protect Lake Bluff's open and natural areas forever. Due to generous donations, volunteer hours, and a hard working intern team in the summer, LBOLA has been able to continuously maintain 200+ acres across 13 natural areas.

Our preserves are open to the public at no charge , however if you feel so inclined to donate financially or your volunteer time, please contact us. None of our success would be possible without the communities generous donations.
